Griffin McGregor netted a hat trick to lead the Ottawa Midget AAA Senators over the Carleton Place Midget AAA Canadians, 6-1.

Carleton Place Midget AAA trailed by one after the first period, but Ottawa Midget AAA went into the second intermission with a 4-0 lead and never looked back.

The Senators' Cedrick Andree was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 33 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Andree will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.87.

Ottawa Midget AAA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Carleton Place Midget AAA power plays. The Senators outdid their season average for goals scored. Ottawa Midget AAA averages 3.2 goals per game. The Senators could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.
