A stellar performance between the pipes by Connor Morris helped the Hawkesbury Midget AAA Hawks defeat the Ottawa Midget AAA Senators, 2-1.

Hawkesbury Midget AAA's penalty kill excelled, as the Hawks gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Hawkesbury Midget AAA was led by Adam Levesque, who had one goal. Levesque scored 13:37 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Hawkesbury Midget AAA. Tyler Boivin picked up the assist.

The Hawks stifled Ottawa Midget AAA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Alex Elie also scored for Hawkesbury Midget AAA. In addition, Hawkesbury Midget AAA received assists from Nathan Sauve, Cameron Buck, and Brandon Legare, who each chipped in one.

The Senators put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Hawkesbury Midget AAA to score on any of its four power plays. Ottawa Midget AAA was held below its usual level of production. The Senators put an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. Ottawa Midget AAA forced the Hawks goalie Morris to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

The Senators were led by Nicholas Raponi de Roia, who scored the team's only goal. Raponi de Roia scored 2:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ottawa Midget AAA. Jacob Lamont assisted on the tally.

Hawkesbury Midget AAA's Morris stopped 35 shots out of the 36 that he faced. The Hawks incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Nicolas Rousseau made 17 saves for Ottawa Midget AAA on 19 shots. The Senators incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
