The Cornwall Midget AAA Colts took the lead against the Smiths Falls Midget AAA Bears in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 3-1 victory.

Mulhearn was all over the ice for the Colts, as he tallied two goals in the win.

Cornwall Midget AAA's Greg Brassard was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 31 saves and let only one puck past him. Brassard certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.87 entering the contest.

The Colts excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Cornwall Midget AAA's offense was handcuffed by Smiths Falls Midget AAA's defensive play, and the Colts managed only three shots on goal during the game.

Cornwall Midget AAA also got a goal from Alec Seguin as well. More assists for Cornwall Midget AAA came via Hunter Duchesne, Mathieu Sabourin, and Brant Woodside, who each chipped in one.

The Bears' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Cornwall Midget AAA power plays. Smiths Falls Midget AAA's offense rang up 32 shots on Cornwall Midget AAA's net.

The Bears were led by Blake Kettyle, who scored the team's only goal. Kettyle scored 9:14 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cornwall Midget AAA. Connor Drost assisted on the tally.

The Colts incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Smiths Falls Midget AAA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
