In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Ottawa Midget AAA Senators escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Gloucester Midget AAA Rangers.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Danny Johnson secured the win for Ottawa Midget AAA with a goal in the third period.

The Senators were led by Johnson, who registered one goal. Johnson scored 9:59 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Ottawa Midget AAA. Nicholas Raponi de Roia picked up the assist.

Ottawa Midget AAA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Gloucester Midget AAA to score on any of its three power plays.

Ottawa Midget AAA additionally got points from Noah Haymes, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Tyler Villeneuve also scored for Ottawa Midget AAA. More assists for Ottawa Midget AAA came via Sam Wilson, who had one and Jean-Sylvain Boyer, who had two.

The Rangers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Gloucester Midget AAA was helped by Matt Mullin, who tallied one goal. Mullin scored 8:38 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Samuel Labre provided the assist. Gloucester Midget AAA also got a goal from Greg Love as well. In addition, Gloucester Midget AAA received assists from Connor Noonan, who had one.

The Senators' Nicolas Rousseau stopped 15 shots out of the 17 that he faced. Ottawa Midget AAA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Brent Pledge-Dickson rejected 21 shots on goal for the Rangers. Gloucester Midget AAA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
