Cedrick Andree stood on his head and made 39 saves to lead the Ottawa Midget AAA Senators to a 5-1 victory over the Kanata Midget AAA Lasers.

Tyler Villeneuve had one goal and two assists to lead Ottawa Midget AAA. Villeneuve scored on the power play 36 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Ottawa Midget AAA. Griffin McGregor assisted on the tally.

The Senators pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 16 penalty minutes.

Ottawa Midget AAA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. The Senators' offense rang up 34 shots on Kanata Midget AAA's net.

Ottawa Midget AAA additionally got points from McGregor, who also registered one goal and one assist and Merrick Rippon, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Ottawa Midget AAA also got a goal from Jean-Sylvain Boyer as well. More assists for Ottawa Midget AAA came via Adrien Bisson, Cameron Scrivens, and Noah Haymes, who each chipped in one.

The Lasers could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Kanata Midget AAA averages 3.5 goals per game. The Lasers' offense rang up 40 shots on Ottawa Midget AAA's net. Kanata Midget AAA's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. The Lasers average 2.4 goals allowed per game. Kanata Midget AAA could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Lasers were led by Bennett Stockdale, who scored the team's only goal. Stockdale scored 1:38 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Luca Nocita picked up the assist.

The Senators registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. Cameron Scott made 29 saves for Kanata Midget AAA on 34 shots.
