Marsch's goals lift M1 Mercyhurst University to 3-1 victory over M1 West Virginia UniversityMorgantown Municipal Rink Fri, Nov 06, 2015 Greg Marsch had two goals to lead the M1 Mercyhurst University Lakers to a 3-1 victory over the M1 West Virginia University Mountaineers. Marsch scored on the power play at 16:32 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M1 Mercyhurst University and again while on the power play 6:50 into the third to make the score 3-1 M1 Mercyhurst University.M1 Mercyhurst University pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes. The Lakers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M1 West Virginia University to score on any of its six power plays. By firing 45 shots on goal, M1 Mercyhurst University exceeded the 2.5 shots it averages per game this year. The Mountaineers were led by David Polinski, who scored the team's only goal. Polinski scored 6:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 West Virginia University. Ryan Zujkowski picked up the assist. Adam Goss rejected 18 shots on goal for the Lakers. M1 Mercyhurst University registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Benjamin Zienty made 42 saves for M1 West Virginia University on 45 shots.
