Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Smiths Falls Midget AAA Bears defeated the Ottawa Midget AAA Senators in a shootout 3-2 (3-2 SO).

The Bears came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Smiths Falls Midget AAA trailed 2-0 after a goal by the Senators' Tyler Newell at 6:38 in the second period. The Bears knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Connor Drost at 13:54 in the third period.

Smiths Falls Midget AAA kept Ottawa Midget AAA's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nicolas Rousseau made 31 saves on 34 shots.

Smiths Falls Midget AAA also got a goal from Matthew Bidin as well. More assists for Smiths Falls Midget AAA came via Chris Bernard, Brock Boisclair, Kettyle, and Mackenzie Mercier, who each chipped in one.

The Senators' offense rang up 35 shots on the Bears' net.

Griffin McGregor also scored for Ottawa Midget AAA. In addition, Ottawa Midget AAA received assists from Cameron Scrivens and Denis, who contributed one each.

Kyle Renaud recorded 33 saves for Smiths Falls Midget AAA. The Bears incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Ottawa Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
