Brian Bygrave had two points to lead the Kanata Midget AAA Lasers to a 5-0 victory over the Cornwall Midget AAA Colts.

Kanata Midget AAA stifled Cornwall Midget AAA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Lasers' defense was surprisingly good. Kanata Midget AAA averages 2.3 goals allowed per game. The Lasers forced the Colts goalie Greg Brassard to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Kanata Midget AAA additionally got points from Bennett Stockdale, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Felix Tourigny also scored for Kanata Midget AAA. In addition, Kanata Midget AAA received assists from Nathan MacKechnie, Ross Campbell, and Justin Palmer, who contributed one each and David Silye and Luca Nocita, who each chipped in two.

Cornwall Midget AAA did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 10 shots on net to force 10 saves.

Kanata Midget AAA's Cameron Scott stopped 10 shots out of the 10 that he faced. The Lasers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Kanata Midget AAA ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Adam Church was ejected from the game. Brassard rejected 26 shots on goal for the Colts. Cornwall Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
