The Kemptville Midget AAA 73s tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Carleton Place Midget AAA Canadians would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2. A goal by Liam Markhauser put Carleton Place Midget AAA up 4-1 in the third period, but Kemptville Midget AAA pulled to within two on Jack York's tally 19:33 into the third period. Ryan Bangs had one goal and two assists to lead the Canadians. Bangs scored on the power play 11:05 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Carleton Place Midget AAA. Carleton Place Midget AAA had gotten the advantage when the 73s' Jordan Currie was sent off for kneeing. Joey Warywoda assisted on the tally. The Canadians put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Kemptville Midget AAA to score on any of its four power plays. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Carleton Place Midget AAA also got points from Logan Buchanan, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Ryland Mosley, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Carleton Place Midget AAA received assists from Reece Bolton, who had one. Carleton Place Midget AAA's defense shut down the 73s' forwards for much of the game, and Kemptville Midget AAA got off only 12 shots during the contest. Penalties took their toll on the 73s, as their penalty kill unit let in four power play goals. Kemptville Midget AAA also got a goal from John Beaton as well. More assists for Kemptville Midget AAA came via Ryan Pawlikowski and Joel Holtrop, who contributed one each. The Canadians' Chris Cuglietta stopped 10 shots out of the 12 that he faced. Carleton Place Midget AAA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Nick Bond rejected 14 shots on goal for Kemptville Midget AAA. The 73s incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
