A stellar performance between the pipes by Brent Pledge-Dickson helped the Gloucester Midget AAA Rangers defeat the Kemptville Midget AAA 73s, 5-1.

Gloucester Midget AAA was sparked by Harry Sanders, who had one goal. Sanders scored 8:58 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Gloucester Midget AAA. Connor Noonan picked up the assist.

The Rangers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Kemptville Midget AAA power plays. Gloucester Midget AAA found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Rangers average 2.6 goals per game. Gloucester Midget AAA could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

Gloucester Midget AAA also got points from Neil Gummeson, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points and Ty Morelli, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Samuel Labre also scored for Gloucester Midget AAA. In addition, Gloucester Midget AAA received assists from Sam Paquette, who had two and Cameron Sinclair and Matt Mullin, who contributed one each.

Kemptville Midget AAA's offense operated below its season average. The 73s put an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game. The Rangers were unable to stop Kemptville Midget AAA from sending pucks towards the net, and the 73s eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Kemptville Midget AAA was led by Zach Cohen, who scored the team's only goal. Cohen scored 2:24 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Gloucester Midget AAA. Dean Bucciarelli assisted on the tally.

Pledge-Dickson rejected 30 shots on goal for Gloucester Midget AAA. The Rangers registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Nick Bond recorded 25 saves for the 73s. Kemptville Midget AAA incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
