The Brockville Midget AAA Braves gutted out a close 3-2 win against the Cornwall Midget AAA Colts.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Rocco Barresi at 5:13 of the third period.

Barresi was all over the ice for Brockville Midget AAA, as he grabbed two goals in the win.

The Braves' penalty kill excelled, as Brockville Midget AAA gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

The Braves were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 18 penalty minutes.

Brockville Midget AAA also got points from Adam VanEttinger, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville Midget AAA were Jared Patterson, Serron Noel, Jacob Shankar, and Cameron Hebert, who each chipped in one.

Cornwall Midget AAA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Colts forced Brockville Midget AAA goalie Ryan Green to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. The defensemen of Cornwall Midget AAA were also effective in the Braves' zone, and came away with two goals.

The Colts were helped by Benjamin Dirven, who finished with one goal. Dirven scored 12:05 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Brockville Midget AAA. Joseph Samson provided the assist. Noah Konink also scored for Cornwall Midget AAA. More assists for Cornwall Midget AAA came via Mathieu Sabourin, Samuel Ferland, and Brant Woodside, who contributed one each.

Ryan Green made 30 saves for Brockville Midget AAA on 32 shots. Grant Craig recorded 22 saves for Cornwall Midget AAA. The Colts incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
