Ethan Coltart gave the Smiths Falls Midget AAA Bears a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Cornwall Midget AAA Colts when he scored 3:30 into the extra period.

Smiths Falls Midget AAA came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Bears trailed 3-1 after a goal by Cornwall Midget AAA's Taran Fiacco at 13:33 in the second period. Smiths Falls Midget AAA knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Mathieu Sabourin at 17:14 in the third period.

The Bears forced the Colts goalie Grant Craig to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Smiths Falls Midget AAA surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Bears have scored at the pace of 2.5 goals per game during the current campaign.

Smiths Falls Midget AAA was led by Blake Kettyle, who tallied one goal and two assists. Kettyle scored 11:18 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Cornwall Midget AAA. Nathaniel Watson provided the assist. Smiths Falls Midget AAA also got points from Coltart, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Sebastien Semerdjiev, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Connor Drost, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Mackenzie Mercier also scored for Smiths Falls Midget AAA. Other players who recorded assists for Smiths Falls Midget AAA were Dylan McMahon and Spencer Shahen, who each chipped in one.

Cornwall Midget AAA stifled the Bears' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Smiths Falls Midget AAA was unable to stop the Colts from sending pucks towards the net, and Cornwall Midget AAA eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Cornwall Midget AAA also had goals scored by Mathew Harrington and Joseph Samson, who scored one goal each. More assists for Cornwall Midget AAA came via Brant Woodside, who had one and Hunter Duchesne and Ethan Mulhearn, who each chipped in two.

Alex Zoutis recorded 27 saves for the Bears. Smiths Falls Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Colts' Craig stopped 29 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Cornwall Midget AAA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
