Peyton's big game bests Nepean Midget AAA in 7-4 Cumberland Midget AAA win

Liam Peyton was all over the ice for the Cumberland Midget AAA Grads, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Cumberland Midget AAA's 7-4 win over the Nepean Midget AAA Raiders.

Peyton scored short handed at 4:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cumberland Midget AAA and again while on the power play 10:50 into the third to make the score 5-4 Cumberland Midget AAA.

Nepean Midget AAA was unable to stop the Grads from sending pucks towards the net, and Cumberland Midget AAA eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. The Grads outdid their season average for goals scored. Cumberland Midget AAA averages 4.0 goals per game. The Grads capitalized on the Raiders' penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage. Cumberland Midget AAA could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Cumberland Midget AAA also got points from Mathieu Plante, who also registered one goal and two assists. Cumberland Midget AAA also got a goal from Alex Robert as well. More assists for Cumberland Midget AAA came via Tristan Francis, who had two and Daniel Mellon, Alex Wall, Ethan Cahill, Anthony Reyes, and Roman Cannell, who each chipped in one.

Nepean Midget AAA's offense rang up 32 shots on the Grads' net.

The Raiders were helped by Aidan Harris, who had one goal and one assist. Harris scored 12:28 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Cumberland Midget AAA. Nicholas Domitrovic picked up the assist. Nepean Midget AAA additionally got points from Domitrovic, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Nepean Midget AAA included Robbie Pickard and Paul Larabie, who each put in one. In addition, Nepean Midget AAA received assists from JJ Boucher, Connor Lacey, and Shawn Timlin, who contributed one each.

Seth Carter rejected 28 shots on goal for Cumberland Midget AAA. Marshall Frappier made 31 saves for Nepean Midget AAA on 38 shots. The Raiders incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
