The Gloucester Midget AAA Rangers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Carleton Place Midget AAA Canadians held on for a 4-2 victory.

Carleton Place Midget AAA took a 4-1 lead during the third period, only to have Gloucester Midget AAA storm back on a Nicolas Seguin goal 18:03 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

The Canadians were sparked by Ryland Mosley, who registered one goal. Mosley scored 7:35 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Carleton Place Midget AAA. Ryan Bangs picked up the assist.

Carleton Place Midget AAA kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brent Pledge-Dickson made 35 saves on 39 shots.

Others who scored for Carleton Place Midget AAA included Emile Cyr, Oliver Carriere, and Ryan Shaw, who each put in one. In addition, Carleton Place Midget AAA received assists from Liam Markhauser, Joey Warywoda, Logan Buchanan, and Cameron Scissons, who contributed one each.

Gloucester Midget AAA additionally got points from Connor Noonan, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Gloucester Midget AAA were Cameron Sinclair, who had two.

Chris Cuglietta made 25 saves for the Canadians on 27 shots. Carleton Place Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities. Gloucester Midget AAA ended with no penalties and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
