Behind a great game by John Beaton, who had two goals, the Kemptville Midget AAA 73s defeated the Cornwall Midget AAA Colts, 3-1. Beaton scored at 10:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kemptville Midget AAA and again while 19:17 into the third to make the score 3-1 Kemptville Midget AAA.Kemptville Midget AAA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Kemptville Midget AAA also got a goal from Brady Elder as well. More assists for Kemptville Midget AAA came via Jack York, Jarrett Williams, Joel Holtrop, and Devin Saumur, who contributed one each. Cornwall Midget AAA stifled the 73s' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Colts were led by Jonah Peters, who scored the team's only goal. Peters scored 12:49 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Mathew Harrington assisted on the tally. Nick Bond recorded 24 saves for Kemptville Midget AAA.
