Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Ottawa Midget AAA Senators defeated the Kemptville Midget AAA 73s in a shootout 5-4 (1-0 SO). The shootout featured six attempts between both teams.Ottawa Midget AAA's penalty kill excelled, as the Senators gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays. Ottawa Midget AAA kept Kemptville Midget AAA's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nick Bond made 27 saves on 32 shots. The Senators could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game. Ottawa Midget AAA was helped by Tyler Villeneuve, who registered one goal. Villeneuve scored 7:41 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Ottawa Midget AAA. Jean-Sylvain Boyer assisted on the tally. Ottawa Midget AAA additionally got points from Boyer, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Ottawa Midget AAA included Merrick Rippon and Nicholas Raponi de Roia, who scored one goal each.
