Kanata Midget AAA blows out Pembroke Midget AAA, 6-1

The Kanata Midget AAA Lasers were firing on all cylinders against the Pembroke Midget AAA Lumber Kings, and when the final buzzer sounded Lasers emerged with a 6-1 win.

Kanata Midget AAA was led by Daniel McIntyre, who registered one goal and one assist. McIntyre scored 7:39 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Kanata Midget AAA. Kyle Lefebvre picked up the assist.

The Lasers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Kanata Midget AAA surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Lasers have scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

Kanata Midget AAA additionally got points from David Silye, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Kanata Midget AAA included Nathan MacKechnie, who had two and Luca Nocita and Justin Palmer, who each put in one. In addition, Kanata Midget AAA received assists from Adam Church, who had two and Bennett Stockdale, Ross Campbell, Tyler Orban, Brian Bygrave, and Cade Townend, who each chipped in one.

Pembroke Midget AAA was led by Brad Richardson, who scored the team's only goal. Richardson scored 6:28 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Kanata Midget AAA. Noah Maika assisted on the tally.

Jean-Philippe Tourigny recorded 14 saves for Kanata Midget AAA. The Lasers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jake Smith made 20 saves for the Lumber Kings on 26 shots. Pembroke Midget AAA incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
