M1 Ohio University shrugs off penalties, upends M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois, 5-2

The M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois Eagles failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and the M1 Ohio University Bobcats shook off a number of penalties to win, 5-2.

M1 Ohio University was sparked by Patrick Spellacy, who racked up one goal. Spellacy scored on the power play 17:50 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M1 Ohio University. The Bobcats had gotten the advantage when M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois' Gavin Burbach was sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Mike LaFrenier assisted on the tally.

M1 Ohio University's penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time.
