M1 Delaware ^ University of uses early goal to top M1 Lebanon Valley College, 3-1

John Redgate scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and the M1 Delaware ^ University of Blue Hens held off the challenges of the M1 Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen in a tough 3-1 win.

M1 Delaware ^ University of took over the lead for good with a goal by Redgate at 18:15 in the first period. The Blue Hens earned a power play opportunity when Bryan Hovanec was put in the box for slashing. Alex Guerere picked up the assist.

M1 Delaware ^ University of's Dylan Troiano was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 27 saves and let only one puck past him. Troiano certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.8 entering the contest.

The Blue Hens' penalty kill excelled, as M1 Delaware ^ University of gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

The Blue Hens stifled M1 Lebanon Valley College's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
