The M1 Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen relied on the scoring touch of Bryan Hovanec, who netted two goals, to beat the M1 Stony Brook University Seawolves, 6-3.

Hovanec found the back of the net on the power play 1:37 into the third period to make the score 3-1 M1 Lebanon Valley College and again while 3:24 into the third to make the score 4-1 M1 Lebanon Valley College.

M1 Stony Brook University fell victim to a deadly M1 Lebanon Valley College power play, which ripped the Seawolves for four goals.

The Flying Dutchmen forced M1 Stony Brook University goalie Tyler Huberty to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

M1 Lebanon Valley College also got points from Paul Hefferin, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Travis Acker, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for M1 Lebanon Valley College included Eric Higgins and Andy Thurby, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Lebanon Valley College were John Wise, who had three and Michael Straub and Jacob Horst, who contributed one each.

The Seawolves were held below their usual level of production. M1 Stony Brook University puts an average of 5.8 pucks into the net per game. The Seawolves put 25 shots on net during the contest, more than the 6.6 they average per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

M1 Stony Brook University was led by Frank Coscia, who registered two goals. Coscia scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 13:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Stony Brook University. An interference penalty on Bradley Nolan had put the Seawolves on the power play. Eddie Osowski provided the assist. Coscia's next tally on the power play made the score 6-3 M1 Lebanon Valley College with 4:32 left in the third period. Brian Boser picked up the assist. M1 Stony Brook University also got a goal from Tyler Underhill as well. In addition, M1 Stony Brook University received assists from Justin Lazalde, Brendan Calello, and JT Hall, who each chipped in one.

Brenden Manquen made 22 saves for M1 Lebanon Valley College on 25 shots. The Flying Dutchmen incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Huberty rejected 32 shots on goal for M1 Stony Brook University. The Seawolves incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
