Huge game by Kumar boosts Usual Suspects over Road Warriors, 8-7

Behind a great game by joey Kumar, who had four goals and one assist, Usual Suspects defeated Road Warriors, 8-7.

Kumar notched his first tally 11:51 into the first period. He then added goals at 18:05 into the first, at 1:57 into the second, and at 2:41 into the second.

Usual Suspects led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Usual Suspects' Cam Nakata scored at 14:02 in the second period to put Usual Suspects up 8-5.

Usual Suspects also got points from Nakata, who also grabbed two goals and one assist and Fariborz Saffari, who also registered one goal and three assists. Usual Suspects also got a goal from Stavros Kapetanakis as well. In addition, Usual Suspects received assists from Hansen Chong, who had two and Baun Adlington, who had three.

Road Warriors found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Road Warriors has scored at the pace of 4.0 goals per game during the current campaign.

Road Warriors was led by Nathan Gibbs, who finished with two goals and two assists. Gibbs scored the first of his two goals at 16:27 into the second period to make the score 8-6 Usual Suspects. John Chieng picked up the assist. Gibbs' next tally made the score 8-7 Usual Suspects with 26 seconds left in the second period. Road Warriors earned a power play opportunity when Saffari was put in the box for roughing. Markus Lohuaru provided the assist. Road Warriors additionally got points from Chieng, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Shaun Krahn, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Lohuaru, who also had two goals and one assist. Chris Williams also scored for Road Warriors. More assists for Road Warriors came via Andrew Smart, who had four.

Jason Kumar rejected 14 shots on goal for Usual Suspects. Usual Suspects incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Tom Misar made 21 saves for Road Warriors on 29 shots. Road Warriors incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
