In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Red Rockets escaped with a 5-3 victory over Fighting Mongoose.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Alric Leung secured the win for Red Rockets with a goal in the second period.

Daniel Fung had two goals to lead Red Rockets to victory. Fung found the back of the net 4:25 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Fighting Mongoose and again while 14:22 into the first to make the score 3-3.

Red Rockets also got points from Leung, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Eric Siu, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Raymond Ng also scored for Red Rockets. In addition, Red Rockets received assists from Victor Tung, Nick Henze, and Albert Le, who each chipped in one.

Fighting Mongoose was led by Curt Romey, who finished with one goal and one assist. Romey scored 2:55 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Fighting Mongoose. Lester Delos Santos picked up the assist. Fighting Mongoose also had goals scored by Perry Gauvin and Adrian Cremayer, who each put in one. More assists for Fighting Mongoose came via Jesse Anglet, who had one.

Red Rockets' Gary Tam stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Red Rockets finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage. Haydn Evans made 22 saves for Fighting Mongoose on 27 shots. Fighting Mongoose ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
