M1 Missouri State University vanquishes M1 Arkansas ^ University of in shootout, 5-4 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the M1 Missouri State University Ice Bears defeated the M1 Arkansas ^ University of Razorbacks in a shootout 5-4 (1-0 SO).

The shootout featured six attempts between both teams.

M1 Missouri State University came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Ice Bears was down 4-2 after a power play goal by M1 Arkansas ^ University of's Ryan Machos at 1:08 in the third period. M1 Missouri State University knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Marshall Gevers at 7:50 in the third period.

The Ice Bears put 30 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.9 they average per game. M1 Missouri State University could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Missouri State University also got points from Logan Lopicka, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M1 Missouri State University also got a goal from Brendan McClew as well. More assists for M1 Missouri State University came via Austin Purdy, Alex Turin, Brennan Anderson, and Bryan Fuhler, who each chipped in one.
