Machos' hat trick boosts M1 Arkansas ^ University of over M1 Missouri State University, 8-4

A hat trick by Ryan Machos was the highlight in Razorbacks' 8-4 win against the M1 Missouri State University Ice Bears.

Machos' first goal came 16:54 into the first period. He then added goals at 19:05 into the first and at 14:53 into the third.

The M1 Arkansas ^ University of Razorbacks outdid their season average for goals scored. M1 Arkansas ^ University of averages 2.9 goals per game. The Razorbacks were ineffective while on the power play, as they were held to two goals off of nine man advantages. M1 Arkansas ^ University of's offense was clicking better than usual and put 41 shots on goal during the game, better than the 5.1 shots per game it averages.

M1 Arkansas ^ University of also got points from Landyn Howze, who also had one goal and one assist, Cory Delisle, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, and Luc Gradisar, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for M1 Arkansas ^ University of included Collin Young and Travis Robbins, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Arkansas ^ University of were Tobias Sjolund, who had three and Colin South, Mason Brower, and Michael Tallo, who each chipped in one.

M1 Missouri State University forced the Razorbacks goalie Sean Danahy to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. The Ice Bears' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as M1 Missouri State University finished with 28 penalty minutes.

The Ice Bears were helped by Logan Lopicka, who registered two goals. Lopicka scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 19:58 into the second period to make the score 6-2 M1 Arkansas ^ University of. M1 Missouri State University had gotten the advantage when M1 Arkansas ^ University of's Delisle was sent off for roughing. Bobby Brown picked up the assist. Lopicka's next tally on the power play made the score 6-3 M1 Arkansas ^ University of with 14:03 left in the third period. Brendan McClew provided the assist. M1 Missouri State University additionally got points from Marshall Gevers, who also tallied one goal and one assist. M1 Missouri State University also got a goal from Ryan Hogland as well. Sean Danahy made 34 saves for the Razorbacks on 38 shots. M1 Arkansas ^ University of incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Justin Davis recorded 33 saves for the Ice Bears. M1 Missouri State University registered one goal on four power play opportunities. The Ice Bears ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Alex Turin was ejected from the game.
