Zane Katz netted a hat trick to lead M3-Florida University of over M3-Miami University of, 5-2.

Katz notched his first tally 3:44 into the first period. He then added goals at 16:43 into the first and at 2:51 into the second.

M3-Florida University of's penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. M3-Florida University of surpassed its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game. M3-Florida University of's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five M3-Miami University of power plays.
