M1 Central Oklahoma ^ University of uses shootout to best M1 Stony Brook University, 3-2 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the M1 Central Oklahoma ^ University of Bronchos defeated the M1 Stony Brook University Seawolves in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO).

The shootout featured four attempts between both teams.

M1 Central Oklahoma ^ University of pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 32 penalty minutes.

With 34 shots on target during the contest, the Bronchos exceeded the 1.7 shot they average per game this year.

M1 Central Oklahoma ^ University of was helped by Donald Danroth, who registered one goal. Danroth scored 4:14 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M1 Central Oklahoma ^ University of. Sam Rice provided the assist. M1 Central Oklahoma ^ University of also got points from Tyler Minx, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.

M1 Stony Brook University's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six M1 Central Oklahoma ^ University of power plays. The Seawolves were held below their usual level of production. M1 Stony Brook University averages 5.6 goals per game. The 38 shots that the Seawolves put on net surpassed M1 Stony Brook University's average of 4.2 shots per game this season.

The Seawolves were helped by Tyler Underhill, who racked up one goal. Underhill scored 3:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Stony Brook University. Andrew Cetola assisted on the tally. M1 Stony Brook University also got a goal from JT Hall as well.

Alex Henry recorded 36 saves for the Bronchos. Derek Willms rejected 31 shots on goal for M1 Stony Brook University. The Seawolves incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
