The M1 Stony Brook University Seawolves came close to giving away a four-goal lead to the M1 Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen, but did just enough to escape with a 6-4 victory.

M1 Stony Brook University led by four goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Seawolves' Justin Lazalde scored at 8:13 in the third period to put M1 Stony Brook University up 5-1.

Lazalde was all over the ice for the Seawolves, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Lazalde scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 13:01 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M1 Stony Brook University. M1 Stony Brook University had gotten the advantage when M1 Lebanon Valley College's Nicholas Skerlick was sent off for slashing. Frank Sherding picked up the assist. Lazalde's next tally on the power play made the score 5-1 M1 Stony Brook University with 11:47 left in the third period. JT Hall assisted on the tally.

By firing 39 shots on goal, the Seawolves exceeded the 4.7 shots they average per game this year.

M1 Stony Brook University also got points from Hall, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Frank Coscia, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Andrew Cetola, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. M1 Stony Brook University also got a goal from Joseph Bochichio as well. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Stony Brook University were Michael Cartwright, who had two and John Defeo and Tyler Underhill, who each chipped in one.

The Flying Dutchmen gave up more goals than its normal season average. M1 Lebanon Valley College gives up 2.5 goals per game. With 44 shots on target during the contest, the Flying Dutchmen exceeded the 17.9 shots they average per game this year.

M1 Lebanon Valley College was helped by Justin Boyd, who racked up one goal. Boyd scored 12:50 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M1 Stony Brook University. Russell Armbruster picked up the assist. M1 Lebanon Valley College additionally got points from Jacob Thomas, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M1 Lebanon Valley College also had goals scored by Adam Thomas and Travis Acker, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Lebanon Valley College received assists from Jacob Horst and Brennan Thompson, who contributed one each.

Derek Willms rejected 40 shots on goal for M1 Stony Brook University. The Seawolves totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Brenden Manquen recorded 33 saves for the Flying Dutchmen. M1 Lebanon Valley College totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play.
