M1 Adrian College holds on for 4-3 win against M1 Stony Brook University

The M1 Adrian College Bulldogs survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 Stony Brook University Seawolves on the way to a 4-3 win.

A goal by Marcus Peters put M1 Adrian College up 4-1 in the second period, but M1 Stony Brook University pulled to within one on JT Hall's tally 10:21 into the third period.

The Bulldogs forced the Seawolves goalie Derek Willms to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. M1 Adrian College struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 24 penalty minutes for 10 opposing power plays.

The Bulldogs were led by Brad Kobryn, who racked up two goals. Kobryn scored the first of his two goals at 14:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Adrian College. Cooper Mclean picked up the assist. Kobryn's next tally made the score 2-0 M1 Adrian College with 3:08 left in the first period. A slashing penalty on Andrew Cetola had put M1 Adrian College on the power play. Mclean assisted on the tally. Justin Polischuk also scored for M1 Adrian College. In addition, M1 Adrian College received assists from Ted Anstett and Robert Bodette, who contributed one each.

M1 Stony Brook University was held below its usual level of production. The Seawolves average 5.5 goals per game. M1 Stony Brook University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 39 shots on goal during the game, better than the 8.4 shots per game it averages.

M1 Stony Brook University also got points from Tyler Underhill, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for M1 Stony Brook University came via Justin Lazalde and Frank Sherding, who each chipped in one.

The Bulldogs' Austyn Roudebush stopped 36 shots out of the 39 that he faced. M1 Adrian College registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Willms rejected 33 shots on goal for the Seawolves. M1 Stony Brook University incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
