M1 Kent State University blows out M1 Western Michigan University, 7-4

The M1 Kent State University Golden Flashes were firing on all cylinders against the M1 Western Michigan University Stallions, and when the final buzzer sounded Golden Flashes emerged with a 7-4 win.

M1 Kent State University got the win behind a great game by Jake Hainline, who had two goals and two assists. Hainline scored the first of his two goals at 6:08 into the second period to make the score 3-0 M1 Kent State University. Tj West assisted on the tally. Hainline's next tally made the score 7-4 M1 Kent State University with 1:20 left in the third period.

The Golden Flashes forced Stallions' goalies to work all game long, ripping 40 shots and forcing 33 saves. Will Massey made 19 stops and Brandon Haase made 14. M1 Kent State University surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Golden Flashes average 4.3 goals per contest. The defensemen of M1 Kent State University were also effective in M1 Western Michigan University's zone, and came away with two goals.

M1 Kent State University also got points from West, who also had one goal and one assist. Richard Zehnal picked up the assist. M1 Western Michigan University additionally got points from Zach Roberts, who also registered one goal and one assist. M1 Western Michigan University also had goals scored by Jacob Taiariol and Ryan Adams, who scored one goal each. More assists for M1 Western Michigan University came via Zach Mudge, who had two and Jesse Cameron and Joey Olmsted, who contributed one each.
