The M1 Ohio University Bobcats survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 Illinois ^ University of Fighting Illini on the way to a 7-5 win.

M1 Ohio University made the score 7-4 on a goal by Gabe Lampron at 10:10 in the third period, and M1 Illinois ^ University of got as close as 7-5 when Aaron Dusek scored 13:10 into the third period.

Patrick Spellacy had two goals to lead the Bobcats to victory. Spellacy found the back of the net 5:24 into the second period to make the score 4-3 M1 Illinois ^ University of and again while 9:41 into the second to make the score 4-4.
