M1 Ohio University blows out M1 Pittsburgh University of, 4-1

The M1 Ohio University Bobcats had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the M1 Pittsburgh University of Panthers.

M1 Ohio University got the win on the strength of a great game by Jake Faiella, who had one goal and two assists. Faiella scored on the power play 19:53 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M1 Ohio University. The Bobcats had taken the advantage when M1 Pittsburgh University of's Nick Blaney got sent off for delay of game. Joey Breslin assisted on the tally.

M1 Ohio University's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals. With 38 shots on target during the contest, the Bobcats exceeded the 5.3 shots they average per game this year.

M1 Ohio University also had goals scored by Mike LaFrenier, Reilly Moore, and Cody Black, who scored one goal each. More assists for M1 Ohio University came via Derek Rahme, Patrick Spellacy, Michael Harris, and Liam Geither, who each chipped in one.

Aaron Alkema recorded 22 saves for M1 Ohio University. The Bobcats incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. M1 Pittsburgh University of's Ben Cirba stopped 34 shots out of the 38 that he faced. The Panthers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
