The M1 Ohio University Bobcats' penalty kill was superb, as M1 Ohio University survived multiple penalties to beat the M1 Pittsburgh University of Panthers, 4-1.

The Bobcats were paced by Matthew Hartman, who finished with one goal and one assist. Hartman scored 12:03 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M1 Ohio University. Liam Geither picked up the assist.

M1 Ohio University racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and two majors for 32 minutes in penalty time. The Bobcats had been averaging 17.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Panthers struggled to put together a cohesive attack and finished with a mere 12 shots over the course of the game. However, M1 Pittsburgh University of launched more shots in the game than the 1.8 per game it averages. The Panthers' offense operated below their season average. M1 Pittsburgh University of puts an average of 4.0 pucks into the net per game. The Panthers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.
