Kanata Midget AAA outlasts Hawkesbury Midget AAA, 4-2Bell Sensplex-Palladium Mon, Nov 09, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Kanata Midget AAA Lasers gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Hawkesbury Midget AAA Hawks. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Nathan MacKechnie at 9:35 of the third period. Adam Church had one goal and two assists to lead Kanata Midget AAA. Church scored on the power play 6:04 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Hawkesbury Midget AAA. An interference penalty on Mathieu Grandmont had put the Lasers on the power play. David Silye picked up the assist. Kanata Midget AAA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Hawkesbury Midget AAA to score on any of its five power plays. Kanata Midget AAA also got points from Silye, who also registered one goal and one assist and MacKechnie, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Kanata Midget AAA also got a goal from Brian Bygrave as well. The Hawks were helped by jordan legros, who grabbed one goal. Legros scored 9:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hawkesbury Midget AAA. Martin Lavigne also scored for Hawkesbury Midget AAA. More assists for Hawkesbury Midget AAA came via Luke Paquette and Cameron Buck, who contributed one each. The Lasers' Jean-Philippe Tourigny stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Kanata Midget AAA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Alex Labreche rejected 15 shots on goal for Hawkesbury Midget AAA. The Hawks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
