The Nepean Midget AAA Raiders took the lead against the Cornwall Midget AAA Colts in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 3-1 victory.

Kyle Kuehni had a great game for the Raiders, netting two goals. Kuehni's tallies came at 26 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-0 Nepean Midget AAA and 8:22 into the third to make the score 3-1 Nepean Midget AAA.

Nepean Midget AAA forced Cornwall Midget AAA goalie Greg Brassard to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

In addition, Nepean Midget AAA received assists from Lukash Matthews, Owen Ledwell, Mackenzie White, and Matt Arial, who each chipped in one.

The Colts managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Cornwall Midget AAA finished below its season average of 10.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Colts were led by Ryan Vipond, who scored the team's only goal. Vipond scored 2:58 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Nepean Midget AAA. Ethan Mulhearn picked up the assist.

The Raiders' Anand Oberoi stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Nepean Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Brassard recorded 28 saves for Cornwall Midget AAA. The Colts registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
