Ottawa Midget AAA wins tough contest against Gloucester Midget AAA, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Ottawa Midget AAA Senators escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Gloucester Midget AAA Rangers.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Tyler Newell secured the win for Ottawa Midget AAA with a goal in the second period.

The Senators were led by Jean-Sylvain Boyer, who had one goal and one assist. Boyer scored 1:32 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Ottawa Midget AAA. Noah Haymes provided the assist.

Ottawa Midget AAA stifled Gloucester Midget AAA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Others who scored for Ottawa Midget AAA included Danny Johnson and Merrick Rippon, who scored one goal each. In addition, Ottawa Midget AAA received assists from Adrien Bisson, Sam Wilson, Griffin McGregor, Jacob Lamont, and Nicholas Raponi de Roia, who each chipped in one.

The Rangers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The defensemen of Gloucester Midget AAA were also effective in the Senators' zone, and came away with two goals.

The Rangers were helped by Noah Simpson, who registered one goal. Simpson scored 2:46 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Ottawa Midget AAA. Matt Mullin picked up the assist. Samuel Labre also scored for Gloucester Midget AAA. Other players who recorded assists for Gloucester Midget AAA were Cameron Sinclair, who had one.

Ottawa Midget AAA's starting goalie, Nicolas Rousseau, made 16 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Cedrick Andree, who stopped 11 shots. The Senators incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jean-Sebastien Gratton made 14 saves for Gloucester Midget AAA on 18 shots. The Rangers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
