LEASIDE tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but TORONTO held on for a 4-2 victory.

TORONTO made the score 4-0 on a goal by Camryn Tait at 16:18 in the third period, and LEASIDE got as close as 4-2 when Cynthia Cavanagh (C) scored 16:56 into the third period.

Tori Haywood had one goal and two assists to lead TORONTO. Haywood scored 11:40 into the third period to make the score 3-0 TORONTO. Sabrina Repaci (A) provided the assist.

TORONTO kept LEASIDE's goalie busy throughout the game, and Danielle Toland made 28 saves on 32 shots.

TORONTO also had goals scored by Taylor Baker (A) and Emma Low-A-Chee, who each put in one. More assists for TORONTO came via Haley Shugart, who had two and Claire Thompson (A) and Emma Buckles, who each chipped in one.

LEASIDE's offense was handcuffed by TORONTO's defensive play, and LEASIDE managed only 14 shots on goal during the game. LEASIDE's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. LEASIDE averages 1.6 goal allowed per game.

LEASIDE also got a goal from Siobhan Birch as well. Other players who recorded assists for LEASIDE were Mariah Hinds and Megan Pardy, who contributed one each.

Stephanie Neatby recorded 12 saves for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. LEASIDE incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
