A stellar performance between the pipes by Daniela Paniccia helped OAKVILLE defeat OTTAWA, 4-1.

OAKVILLE was led by Kristen Jay, who registered one goal. Jay scored 8:15 into the first period to make the score 2-0 OAKVILLE. Jessica Maggioni picked up the assist.

OAKVILLE excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

OAKVILLE also got points from Emma Maltais, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for OAKVILLE included Annie MacDonald and Jaime Bourbonnais, who each put in one. More assists for OAKVILLE came via Brooke Jovanovich, who had two and Amy Curlew and Jessica Digirolamo, who contributed one each.

OTTAWA was led by Coralie Larose, who scored the team's only goal. Larose scored 5:20 into the second period to make the score 2-1 OAKVILLE. Sophie Rodenburg assisted on the tally.

OAKVILLE's Paniccia stopped 26 shots out of the 27 that she faced. OAKVILLE incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. OTTAWA's starting goalie, Kailen Jeffries, made 16 saves and finished with the loss before she was taken out in favor of Jennifer Walker, who stopped three shots. OTTAWA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
