DURHAM WEST falls to STONEY CREEK in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Kayla Vespa (A) gave STONEY CREEK a 2-1 (OT) victory over DURHAM WEST when she scored 12 seconds into the extra period.

STONEY CREEK was sparked by Vespa (A), who had one goal.

STONEY CREEK additionally got points from Kristin ONeill (C), who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for STONEY CREEK were Amanda Butterfield (A) and Kristen Siermachesky, who each chipped in one.

DURHAM WEST put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow STONEY CREEK to score on any of its three power plays. DURHAM WEST did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 13 saves.

DURHAM WEST was led by Saroya Tinker, who scored the team's only goal. Tinker scored 4:14 into the second period to make the score 1-0 DURHAM WEST. Natalie Wozney assisted on the tally.

Serena DAngelo rejected 13 shots on goal for STONEY CREEK. STONEY CREEK incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Tera Hofmann made 25 saves for DURHAM WEST on 26 shots. DURHAM WEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
