LONDON outlasts WATERLOO, 3-2

LONDON gutted out a close 3-2 win against WATERLOO.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Emily Bowman at 10 seconds of the third period.

LONDON was sparked by Bowman, who registered one goal.

LONDON's offense was handcuffed by WATERLOO's defensive play, and LONDON managed only 14 shots on goal during the game.

Others who scored for LONDON included Katreena Whiteye and Grace Donaldson, who each put in one. In addition, LONDON received assists from Ella Shelton, Hannah DeCoutere, Nicole Pateman, Sydnee Baker, Jordan Beshara, and Lexie Adzija, who contributed one each.

WATERLOO forced LONDON goalie Lauren Dubie to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

WATERLOO was helped by Megan Johnston, who finished with one goal. Johnston scored 10:58 into the second period to make the score 2-1 LONDON. Lexi Templeman provided the assist. WATERLOO additionally got points from Templeman, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for WATERLOO came via Sarah Rettinger, who had one.

Dubie recorded 29 saves for LONDON. LONDON incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. LONDON ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Bowman was ejected from the game. WATERLOO's Cohen Myers stopped 11 shots out of the 14 that she faced. WATERLOO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
