WHITBY downs AURORA in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

WHITBY's Hailey Wilson scored 3:22 into overtime to beat AURORA, 4-3 (OT).

Briana Colangelo and Wilson provided the spark for WHITBY, combining for two goals and three assists. Colangelo grabbed one goal and three assists and Wilson also added one goal.

WHITBY forced AURORA goalie Frances Tenney to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

WHITBY also had goals scored by Katie Mikkelsen and Brooke McQuigge, who each put in one. More assists for WHITBY came via Samantha Isbell, Makayla Mori, Victoria Howran, and Emily Reid, who contributed one each.

AURORA bested its season scoring average. AURORA averages 0.8 goals per game.

AURORA was led by Mia Rogers, who registered two goals. Rogers scored the first of her two goals at 11:23 into the third period to make the score 2-1 AURORA. Emerson Eliott picked up the assist. Rogers' next tally made the score 3-2 AURORA with 2:56 left in the third period. Kate Barber assisted on the tally. AURORA also got a goal from Braeden Hahnfeld as well. Other players who recorded assists for AURORA were Nicole Shaw, who had one and Brittany Kucera (C), who had two.

Emma Schram made 15 saves for WHITBY on 18 shots. WHITBY incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. AURORA's Tenney stopped 30 shots out of the 34 that she faced. AURORA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
