NEPEAN falls to CAMBRIDGE in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

CAMBRIDGE pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over NEPEAN on a clutch goal by Emily Woodhouse (A).

CAMBRIDGE came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. CAMBRIDGE trailed 2-0 after a goal by NEPEAN's Tristyn Svetek at 9:55 in the first period. CAMBRIDGE knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Alyssa Chiarello (A) at 19:51 in the third period.

CAMBRIDGE got the win on the strength of a great game by Kati Tabin, who had two goals and one assist. Tabin scored the first of her two goals at 1:54 into the third period to make the score 2-1 NEPEAN. Sarah Verbeek assisted on the tally. Tabin's next tally made the score 2-2 with 6:47 left in the third period. Woodhouse (A) picked up the assist.

The defensemen of CAMBRIDGE were also effective in NEPEAN's zone, and came away with two goals.

CAMBRIDGE additionally got points from Woodhouse (A), who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for CAMBRIDGE came via Meghan Anton, who had two and Natasha Costello (A) and Nicole Zabel, who each chipped in one.

NEPEAN's offense rang up 39 shots on CAMBRIDGE's net. NEPEAN's normally stingy defense allowed more goals than usual. NEPEAN is averaging 1.4 goal against for the season.

NEPEAN also had goals scored by Abygail Moloughney and Katie Rankin, who scored one goal each. In addition, NEPEAN received assists from Serena Weaver, who had two and Shelby Calof, Blake Orosz, Samantha Bouley, and Cassidy Michalicka, who contributed one each.

Caitlin Kroetsch made 36 saves for CAMBRIDGE on 39 shots. CAMBRIDGE incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Amanda Hadwen recorded 13 saves for NEPEAN. NEPEAN incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
