MISSISSAUGA beats ETOBICOKE 2-1 after comeback scare

ETOBICOKE tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but MISSISSAUGA would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 2-1.

A goal by Daryl Watts put MISSISSAUGA up 2-0 in the third period, but ETOBICOKE pulled to within one on Christina Chin's tally 19:40 into the third period.

MISSISSAUGA was led by Watts, who registered one goal and one assist. Watts scored 4:51 into the third period to make the score 2-0 MISSISSAUGA. Lindsay Agnew (C) assisted on the tally.

MISSISSAUGA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three ETOBICOKE power plays. MISSISSAUGA forced ETOBICOKE goalie Fabiana Petricca to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

MISSISSAUGA also got points from Agnew (C), who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for MISSISSAUGA came via Jacquie Tam, who had one.

Other players who recorded assists for ETOBICOKE were Willow Corson (A) and Rachel Santini (C), who each chipped in one.

Lin Han rejected 21 shots on goal for MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Petricca recorded 33 saves for ETOBICOKE. ETOBICOKE incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
