TORONTO rips BURLINGTON, 3-0

TORONTO had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 3-0 win over BURLINGTON.

TORONTO was sparked by Claire Thompson, who tallied one goal. Thompson scored 2:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 TORONTO. Lauren Moriyama (PU) provided the assist.

TORONTO put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow BURLINGTON to score on any of its three power plays. BURLINGTON was unable to stop TORONTO from sending pucks towards the net, and TORONTO eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Others who scored for TORONTO included Sabrina Repaci and Emma Buckles, who each put in one. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Camryn Tait, who had two and Lauren Ianni, Taylor Baker, and Emma Low-A-Chee, who each chipped in one.

BURLINGTON excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.

Stephanie Neatby recorded 17 saves for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. BURLINGTON's Nadia Rupoli stopped 29 shots out of the 32 that she faced. BURLINGTON incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. BURLINGTON ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Alexandra Doyle was ejected from the game.
