TORONTO wins tough contest against MISSISSAUGA, 4-2

The game between TORONTO and MISSISSAUGA was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end TORONTO emerged with a 4-2 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Camryn Tait at 17:20 of the third period.

In the losing effort, MISSISSAUGA was led by Daryl Watts, who registered two goals. Watts scored the first of her two goals at 2:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 MISSISSAUGA. Lindsay Agnew (C) picked up the assist. Watts' next tally made the score 2-2 with 8:23 left in the third period. Kyra Colbert (A) provided the assist.

In a losing effort, MISSISSAUGA was sparked by Watts, who racked up two goals.

TORONTO forced MISSISSAUGA goalie Carmen Lasis to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

TORONTO also got points from Haley Shugart, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. TORONTO also had goals scored by Neve Van Pelt and Emma Low-A-Chee, who each put in one. More assists for TORONTO came via Avery Mitchell, Lauren Ianni, and Taylor Baker, who contributed one each.

MISSISSAUGA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. MISSISSAUGA's defense was uncharacteristically lax during the game. MISSISSAUGA averages 1.5 goal allowed per game.

Kayla Wormsbecher recorded 22 saves for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. MISSISSAUGA's Lasis stopped 28 shots out of the 32 that she faced. MISSISSAUGA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
