WHITBY downs CAMBRIDGE, 4-1

Brooke McQuigge registered one point to lead WHITBY to a 4-1 victory over CAMBRIDGE.

WHITBY managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. WHITBY wound up below its season average of 6.0 penalty minutes per game. WHITBY kept CAMBRIDGE's goalie busy throughout the game, and Caitlin Kroetsch made 30 saves on 34 shots.

WHITBY also got points from Alicia Pallister, who also had two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. WHITBY also got a goal from Briana Colangelo as well. More assists for WHITBY came via Brooklyn Bastarache, Makayla Mori, Nikita Boardman, Maya Patel, Haley Edwards, and Victoria Howran, who each chipped in one.

CAMBRIDGE stifled WHITBY's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. CAMBRIDGE found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 14 shots against WHITBY's defense. CAMBRIDGE's normally stingy defense allowed more goals than usual. CAMBRIDGE averages 1.8 goal allowed per game.

CAMBRIDGE was led by Annie Berg, who scored the team's only goal. Berg scored 10:54 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Carly AuCoin picked up the assist.

Emma Schram rejected 13 shots on goal for WHITBY. WHITBY registered zero goals on four power play opportunities. CAMBRIDGE incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. For CAMBRIDGE, Emily Woodhouse (A) was ejected from the game.
