DURHAM WEST's penalty kill was superb, as DURHAM WEST survived multiple penalties to beat WATERLOO, 3-1. DURHAM WEST was led by Katerina Dajia, who finished with one goal. Dajia scored 11:44 into the third period to make the score 2-1 DURHAM WEST. Natalie Wozney picked up the assist. DURHAM WEST also had goals scored by Charlea Pedersen and Maria Dominico, who scored one goal each. In addition, DURHAM WEST received assists from Samantha McKenzie (C) and Kirsten MacDougall (A), who each chipped in one. WATERLOO put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow DURHAM WEST to score on any of its four power plays. WATERLOO was led by Megan Johnston, who scored the team's only goal. Johnston scored 7:20 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Carley Olivier provided the assist. Danika Ranger recorded 18 saves for DURHAM WEST. DURHAM WEST incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Cohen Myers made 25 saves for WATERLOO on 27 shots. WATERLOO incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
