OAKVILLE and BARRIE were evenly matched throughout their contest, but OAKVILLE made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Brooke Jovanovich at 16:49 of the third period.

OAKVILLE got the win with help from a great game by Jovanovich, who had two goals and one assist. Jovanovich scored the first of her two goals at 7:21 into the second period to make the score 2-1 OAKVILLE. Kristen Jay provided the assist. Jovanovich's next tally made the score 3-2 OAKVILLE with 3:11 left in the third period. Jaime Bourbonnais picked up the assist.

OAKVILLE also got a goal from Jessica Maggioni as well.

BARRIE was helped by Devon Viragh, who had one goal. Viragh scored 14:50 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Lori Murphy assisted on the tally. Alex Frigon also scored for BARRIE. More assists for BARRIE came via Jillian Banks, Danika Phillips (C), and Kara Washer (A), who each chipped in one.

Nikki Cece rejected 19 shots on goal for OAKVILLE. OAKVILLE incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. BARRIE's Briar Hughes stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that she faced. BARRIE incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
