Armstrong (A)'s big game bests KINGSTON in 6-2 BURLINGTON win

BURLINGTON's Rachel Armstrong (A) had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in her team's 6-2 win over KINGSTON.

Armstrong (A)'s tallies came at 10:58 into the second period to make the score 3-2 BURLINGTON and 4:37 into the third to make the score 5-2 BURLINGTON.

KINGSTON's power play was ineffective against BURLINGTON's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

KINGSTON was unable to stop BURLINGTON from sending pucks towards the net, and BURLINGTON eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. BURLINGTON bested its season scoring average. BURLINGTON averages 1.9 goal per game. BURLINGTON was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 16 penalty minutes.

BURLINGTON also got points from Aimee Raithby, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Taylor Davison, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Jamie Watson (C), who also had one goal and two assists. BURLINGTON also got a goal from Alexandra Doyle as well. In addition, BURLINGTON received assists from Robin Ketcheson, who had three and Olivia White and Trisha Cho, who each chipped in one.

KINGSTON could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

KINGSTON was helped by Sidonie Chard (A), who registered one goal. Chard (A) scored 4:17 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Hannah Scaletta picked up the assist. KINGSTON additionally got points from Brianna Gaffney (C), who also finished with one goal and one assist.

Dagny Hudspeth made 17 saves for BURLINGTON on 19 shots. BURLINGTON registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. KINGSTON's Kathryn Jalink stopped 28 shots out of the 34 that she faced.
