NEPEAN and MISSISSAUGA skate to 1-1 (OT) tie

MISSISSAUGA found itself down againt NEPEAN, but battled back to secure to a 1-1 (OT) tie.

NEPEAN put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow MISSISSAUGA to score on any of its three power plays.

NEPEAN was led by Helen Markovic, who scored the team's only goal. Markovic scored 9:55 into the second period to make the score 1-0 NEPEAN. Kristy Pidgeon assisted on the tally.

MISSISSAUGA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six NEPEAN power plays. MISSISSAUGA's offense operated below its season average. MISSISSAUGA puts an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game.

MISSISSAUGA was led by Mikyla Grant-Mentis, who scored the team's only goal. Grant-Mentis scored 8:03 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Daryl Watts picked up the assist.

NEPEAN's Celine Tessier stopped 24 shots out of the 25 that she faced. NEPEAN incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Lin Han recorded 26 saves for MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
