WATERLOO holds on for 2-1 win against BARRIERIM 1 Mon, Feb 15, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
BARRIE tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but WATERLOO held on for a 2-1 victory. A goal by Brooklyn Cole put WATERLOO up 2-0 in the first period, but BARRIE pulled to within one on Michelle Morrison (A)'s tally 18:52 into the third period. BARRIE was stymied by WATERLOO's netminder Cohen Myers, who stopped 25 shots during the victory. Myers certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 1.64 entering the contest. WATERLOO stifled BARRIE's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lexi Templeman also scored for WATERLOO. Other players who recorded assists for WATERLOO were Kelsey Dixon, Megan Johnston, Brooke DiCicco (PU), and Sarah Rettinger, who contributed one each. More assists for BARRIE came via Avery Reeves (A) and Alex Frigon, who each chipped in one. WATERLOO incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. BARRIE's Briar Hughes stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that she faced. BARRIE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
